Here’s a fun Easter project to do with your kids! Bunny Race Cars!
With Easter fast approaching, most stores have an abundant supply of Peeps® Bunnies. This time of year, these delightful, sugar-coated marshmallows are easy accessible and available in an array of colors and sizes.
So, here’s what we used to construct the Bunny Race Cars:
Peeps® Bunnies
Twinkies or Cloud Cakes
Decorator’s Icing
Peeps® Icing Decorations
Mini Pretzels
Large Marshmallows
Toothpicks
Before you begin, it may be helpful to put the decorative items in small containers on your table workspace and within reach of the kids. Each child can design his/her own bunny
race car.
Cut a small groove half way though the top side of the Cloud Cake. This will be seat for the Peeps® Bunny. For added safety, we used plastic knives for cutting.
Squeeze on a line of Decorator’s Icing to adhere the bunny to its seat.
Slide a pretzel in front of the bunny for the steering wheel.
Next, insert a toothpick toward the front and rear end of the Cloud Cake. These will be used
to hold the Large Marshmallow tires in place.
To complete the race car, squeeze a tiny bit of icing onto the back of the Peeps® Icing Decoration and adhere it to the top, front end of the race.
Now, how cute are these little racers!
