A NEW TAKE ON CHRISTMAS DINNER

Here’s an idea for Christmas Dinner.  Instead of roasting a whole turkey, try your favorite recipe using turkey thighs.  It’s a great way to try something new with the assurance of a juicy and delicious turkey for your loved ones to enjoy.  I like serving them with cornbread dressing.

Wanna add a tasty Southern side dish to the menu?  Try this one:  Okra and Corn.  
These two are a match made in heaven.  Simply, add a cup of water to a medium size pot and bring
to a boil.  With a knife, remove the corn from the cob of 4 ears of corn, add it to the pot, and boil for 15 minutes.  While the corn is cooking, cut approximately 1 pound of fresh okra.  Add okra to the corn and cook for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until just tender.  Season with salt and pepper
to taste, then serve.
